Chemistry Olympic contest is an important way of cultivating top students in the high school ,embodying chemistry is a subject which values individual difference while facing all the students ,accordingly it is necessary for teaching staff to make some pioneer atttempts .Based on the National Medium- & Long-term Strategy for Science and Technology Development and practical experience of middle-school chemistry Olympic contest at home, a novel Contest-training Model was constructed, in which the trainees take the principle position and their abilities were enhanced greatly, such as ability of self-teaching, operating, problem-solving. In a word, the model can be named as self-teaching & improving ability model and its theoretical basis stem from pedagogy, psychology and some theories about quality-education, so it can cultivate the trainee's innovation ability.The paper was divided into six chapters.
