Writing could not be avoided in studying Chinese. On the perspective of emotion, writing is an essential way of communication among human beings as well as part of our life. Scientifically speaking, one ,writing functions as a means of comprehension and storage of personal knowledge , thoughts and emotion , intelligence and languages . It is important criterion of weighing the students' proficiency of Chinese. The importance of composition teaching is self-evident. However, the present composition teaching situation is not optimistic. Based on the analysis of present composition teaching situation, this paper attempts to pursue the basic reason of low quality of composition teaching. It tries to solve some problems existing in composition teaching from neglecting the writing theory .This paper makes a research on how to solve the problem of lacking writingology in composition teaching theory and puts forward some feasible countermeasures as much as possible. The paper is divided to five parts.The first part discriminates several concepts: writing, composition and writingology.The second part summarizes and analyses the present composition teaching situation and the existing problems, and theoretical thinking of writingology.The third part makes a literature review on the research condition of composition teaching theory and weakness on research of writingology.The fourth part is focus on paraphrasing and analyzing the requirements of writing in the new Chinese curriculum standards.
