Direction of China curriculum reform in basic education has tend toward nation, locality and school three-level curriculum model from former single nation curriculum model. Development of school-based curriculum has become an important part of curriculum reform in high school.Based on the pedagogy, psychology and philosophy, in combined with the characteristic of nickel capital Jinchang city, the author explores the development of popular science type school-based curriculum, and finishes the following works.(1) A great deal of data and documents is collected, sorted and analyzed, present research status of school-base curriculum from domestic, aboard, and Jinchang city is researched, the main target and research idea of school-based curriculum of nickel capital industry resource is determined.(2) The theoretical basis on school-based curriculum of nickel capital industry resource is discussed from psychology, pedagogy and other aspect, the development principle is also determined. The present condition of Longmen school and educational resource in Jinchuan group LTD is analyzed. Educational material of school-based curriculum of nickel capital industry resource is chosen according to the cognition characteristic of students in junior high school. The material mainly includes the mining, mineral processing, and smelting technological process, character and use of nickel, cupper, cobalt and other non-ferrous metals produced in Jinchuan. Jinchuan Science Museum, Jinchuan Technology Center, and Jinchuan Archives are also be chosen as assistant educational resources.(3) The main target and actualizing principle of school-based curriculum of nickel capital industry resource is determined according to the condition of nickel capital industry educational resources, characteristic of popular science school-based curriculum, as well as cognition level and age characteristic of students in junior high school,(4) Teaching syllabus, main teaching content and schedule of school-based curriculum of nickel capital industry resource is set down, and teaching practice is brought into effect.(5) Evaluation method of teaching effect is chosen, teaching effect of school-based curriculum of nickel capital industry resource is evaluated from many aspect, including questionnaire survey, student's self-evaluation, parent's evaluation, as well as teacher's evaluation. The evaluation criterion of school-based curriculum is determined, and school-based curriculum of nickel capital industry resource is evaluated according to this criterion.Through the development and implement of school-based curriculum of nickel capital industry resource, students know the mining, materials processing and smelting technological process, recognize the characteristic and use of main non-ferrous metals produced by Jinchuan group LTD. student's enthusiasm of exploring science and technology is inspired, the student's good ideology of studying hard, becoming a useful talent and contributing to the motherland is built, the student's grand ideality of loving hometown and motherland is cultivated, students become more understand, considerate and support there parent's work. Student's ability of collecting, sorting data and oral expression is also practiced.
