Dilemma And Strategy In Construction Of The Teaching Force In Huangshi Institute Of Technology

Huangshi Institute of Technology is the product of the popularity of higher education. Huangshi Institute of Technology, together with other newly-upgraded local universities, faces a critical problem of the cultivation of faculty. On the basis of consulting large quantity of literatures domestic and abroad, the author analyzes the construction conditions of the faculty in Huangshi Institute of Technology from such aspeets as the conditions of the facutty , attraction of facutty , cultivation of faculty and construction of disciplines . The author designs a scientific questionnaire to investigate the degree of satisfaction of the faculty, and points out the problems in the cultivation of faculty. These problems are due to three causes, the causes of three causes about concept, system and measures. On the basis of the analysis, the author applies such advanced theories as "social environment determinism", "personality quality determinism", "theory of specialization of teachers", "mutually affected theory", "the theory of developing one's own profession" and human resources management theories to put forward some measures to solve the problem of the cultivation of faculty: 1) The goal of the cultivation of faculty should be in accordance with the aim of the development of the university; 2) The author puts forward to establish "five mechanisms" and "a system" to guarantee the quality of the cultivation of faculty; 3) The author also puts forward three patterns of innovating the cultivation of faculty; 4) The author advances a set of concrete measures about faculty cultivation.The newly-upgraded local universities came into being in the environment of popularity of higher education. Therefore, they face many new problems and conflicts, . the cultivation of faculty in particular. Thus this research has the significance of exploration and innovation. Compared with other newly-upgraded local universities, the difficult conditions Huangshi Institute of Technology faces in the cultivation of faculty have something in common with those in other universities, and yet it has its own characteristics. This research outcome can serve as a reference for other newly-upgraded local universities.
