The art curriculum functions as the major carrier in reaching the goal of the art education. At the beginning of the 21st century, the principle of the "three-layer management operated by the school, the local and the national government" was put forward in the curriculum reform. Consequently, both the school and the local government has the right to make a strategic decision on curricula; and the local curriculum resource plays a decisive role in arranging curricula. Since the national-formulated art curriculum fails in meeting the specific demands in different places, how to develop and utilize the local art curriculum resource has, so far as the art curriculum reform is concerned, become an essential measurement for the time being.Based on the prelude research, the thesis collects and arranges the local curriculum resource in Ma'anshan. Furthermore, focusing on the development and utilization of the local art curriculum resource in this particular place, the thesis, by way of investigation and interview, tries to comprehend its status quo so as to find out the possible problems existing in it. And to solve them, the thesis provides some strategic solutions and a teaching example. In addition to the two methods above mentioned, it also adopts the documental and experimental methods in order to present a reference solution to the development and utilization of the art curriculum resource for the art teachers of Ma'anshan as well as of those places with a similar teaching situation.In this thesis, the local art curriculum resource of Ma'anshan refers to those resources with the local characteristic of Ma'anshan, on which relies the local art curriculum, including its content, teaching activities and organization, and the materials for curricula in each elementary and middle school of this place. From the aspect of function, it could be classified into two types: the resource of material and the resource of condition. While from the respect of character, there could be another two types: the natural resource and the human resource. For its regionalism, diversity and multi-quality, distinguishing the local art curriculum resource of Ma'anshan should be restrained by such elements as the view of value in developing-subject education, time and space, and developing techniques as well as methods, and so on and so forth. The curriculum resource of Ma'anshan mainly contains the natural resource, the social resource and the cultural resource. In developing and utilizing the art curriculum resource, the principle of pertinence, practicalness, synthesis and regionalism should be abided by. And the methods of the art teaching infiltration, the art curriculum intervention and the school synthetic activities might be adopted.
