| The new "Course Standard" has proposed individual reading. Individual reading mainly emphasizes individuality on the back of the neglecting of individuality in the teaching activities. The purpose is to strengthen the chief status of students while reading and to emphasize the students' experience and sentiment. Since the 90s of last century, the colleagues in education circle of Chinese have been paying close attention to the extracurricular reading of the middle school students, and the paper has put forward a lot of effectual tactics, however, there is still a lot of work for us to do in order to offer guide to students pointedly and effectively. The proposition of this paper is the individual extracurricular reading of middle school students. It includes five aspects as follows:First, the paper describes the basic intension and characteristics of individual extracurricular reading. It means that within a certain phase, due to the demand of individual character development as well as the characteristics of the students. The individual extracurricular reading could help students form the style of reading which suit themselves and develop self-conscious reading behavior habit with obvious individuality gradually. It has four characteristics: independence, creativity, experience and criticizing.Second, this paper elaborates the necessity of the middle-school student's individual extracurricular reading. Mainly it is elaborated from the present reading teaching situation of the middle-school student as well as the model of the overseas research results.Third, this paper elaborates the attitude that the middle-school student's individual extracurricular reading should have. Mainly from the responsibility that the society should shoulder and schools, families should exert beneficial effects.Fourth, the paper expounds the ways and methods of the individual extracurricular reading. It mainly includes: stimulate the interest of reading, read more extensively, respect individual experience and launch many kinds of activities to intensify extracurricular reading.At last, the paper outlines the value orientation of the individual extracurricular reading. Especially, it emphasizes the effect of teachers on the aspects of guiding the students' individual extracurricular reading. |
