The textbook has effect on the educating people , accumulating and promulgating knowledge of socience and culture. With the increase of the knowledge and the coming of the information Society, the role of textbook is more important. The research of textbook and the compiling textbook has a long history in China. The expert think that reading, writing, counting is the initial curriculum . Reading and counting textbook of xi zhou is the formost testbook system . After the Age of spring and autumn , school education has began to separate from from education . The textbook was greatly improved.With the aggression of the western country, trend of learning from west appeared in the region of the cultural and education . Western printing was appeared in China, which accelerate the development of the textbook. After liberation, the work of compiling and publishing was accomplished by the people' s education press. From 1951 to 1980, the people' s education press has published five sets of middle school textbook. At 2001, 7, ministry of education of people's republic of China promulgate the Compulsory Education curriculum stardard . people' s education press, Sino maps press, shan xi educationg press, hunan education press, daxiang press, Guang dong people' s press, starmap press, have published the Compulsory Education textbook that has been approbated by the Examining and Approving Committee of School Textbooks.The part of region is greatly changed part in the compulsory education Geography curriculum stardard. The otherness of the region chooseed and the method of comiling incarnate the idea of the curriculum stardard. This part is primary part of Compulsory Education Geography curriculum stardard. This part is very useful for student at the age of senior school. Compareing the content of the seven sets of geography textbook, analyzing the the otherness of the textbooks, experiencing the idea of the diffent sets of textbook, summarizing the successful experience of the these textbooks, discussing the problem of these texebooks, is the objective of our thesis. The author think that these research work will accelerate the development of geography textbook and impel the reformation of basic education .The primary content of thesis include: the first chapter summarize the research improvement of textbook about the region. The second chapter is about the research method. The third chapter, thefourth chapter, the fifth chapter The sixth chapter comapare these textbooks from the otherness of region choosed, primary content of textbook, framework of these textbook, and so on. The auhor discuss the problem in the thesis. The last part author draw the conclusion and summarize the the idea of thesis and the shortage of thesis.
