The foreign researches on the domain of career decision-making self-efficacy (CDMSE) have been done deeply, and these researches provide a new view for career counseling. However, in China, such researches about career decision-making self-efficacy have been extremely rarely studied so far, and it's necessary and important to expand the scope of the participants being tested. In this thesis, firstly, the foreign studies about the theoretical construction of CDMSE and other questions involved in it were reviewed; then, a CDMSE Scale with high reliability and validity was revised. Seven hundred and three senior students from Grade three of seven middle schools in Sha PingBa district of Chongqing were measured in the test, using the revised CDMSE Scale and the Perceived social support Scale (PASS). On the one hand, the characteristics of senior students'CDMSE were analyzed, and the differences of their background such as gender, families and resident sites were discussed in the thesis. On the other hand, the relationships of CDMSE with perceived social support were studied. The results indicated:(1) Generally, the level for CDMSE of senior students is not high, especially their CDMSE of plan-making for career is almost lack.(2) Generally, there is no significant difference between male senior students'CDMSE and female senior students'CDMSE.(3) The significant differences among CDMSE of senior students from different family backgrounds were demonstrated.(4) The significant differences among CDMSE of senior students from different resident sites were demonstrated.(5) A significant positive correlation between CDMSE and perceived social support, especially the more support from parents and teachers, the higher level for senior students'CDMSE.Finally, the proposals which related to the education of senior students were offered in this thesis.
