In the current mother language crisis, people begin to redefine the cultural implication of Chinese language education from the new cultural angle and stance of the humanistic concern and construct the viewpoint on the cultural essence of Chinese language education. In the context of the view on the cultural essence of Chinese language education, culture is equal to humanization; Chinese language education is a kind of life mechanism of culture and we are supposed to seek the cultural layer of Chinese language study, perform the awakening function of the Chinese language and make efforts to the grasp the characteristics of Chinese language study.Under the theoretical guidance of the view on the cultural essence, the author maintains that practically speaking, it is advisable to carry out the teaching of the Chinese language and literature division in order to change the dangerous situation in Chinese language teaching. It is not merely a simple repetition of the Chinese language and literature division in the past, but a kind of teaching of the Chinese language and literature division in the new situation. According to discussions of the seniors and appeals of many scholars nowadays, it is fairly important to carry out the teaching of the Chinese language and literature. According to the view on the cultural essence of Chinese language education, Chinese language is a cultural component. It is a tool as well as a culture. Chinese language as a tool is itself a cultural component with humanistic characteristics. Consequently the implication of Chinese language, namely the cultural component, generally speaking, refers to language and literature. In order to satisfy the needs of the basic reading and expression, fulfill the task of enriching the students' spiritual life, and stress the cultural features, Chinese language can be divided into:The Chinese subject Chinese and writing literature and cultureChapter Four discusses in detail from the methodological angle the teaching after the Chinese language and literature division is achieved, namely, discusses in two categories Chinese as the mother language and the culturalization of the writing teaching, literature as the mother language and the culturalization of the writing teaching.
