The Research On The Application Of Geographic Images In Middle School Geography Teaching

The new round of teaching reform and the geography graduation examination and geographic college entrance examination require students to master necessary geographical knowledge and form workable geographic skills,thinking and behavior quality.Students master geography skills. They should not only be able to use words, pictures,textbooks consisting of quantitative data,charts,documents,maps and mapping information to interpret the secondhand information, study on related geographical issues in the form of statistical data, but also form and develop the ability of processing information,making a judgment; evaluating and interpreting information, making a choice; taking action according to the survey results and values.Geographic Images System is one of the three components of existing geography teaching and the most effective way and means of training and developing basic geography skills,thinking and behavior quality.This paper tries to conduct a more systematic qualitative research from the current middle school geography teaching based on my 10 years of teaching experience from the following aspects: the existing problems and situation in the use of geographic images; geographic images classification; the case analysis of geographic images in the actual teaching of geography in middle school; the functions of geographic images in geography teaching; the requirements on geography teachers' knowledge structure, overall quality,education and teaching methods and skills in the process of using geographic images. The purpose of the study is to give play to the important functions of geographic images in middle school geography teaching more fully and efficiently; to improve students' geography examination results and improve the geographic operational skills and enhance geography quality; thereby to improve secondary geography teaching effectiveness and raise students' overall quality.
