In recent years, the state of inequality of higher education opportunity in our country has come in for a great deal of concerns from social circles. Since it is very complicated to discuss the problem of higher education equal opportunities, this thesis limits the range of main research in having equal opportunities to enter colleges. Higher education opportunities are limited by various factors, and it is impossible to realize absolute equality. This thesis analyses various kinds of factors that influence equal higher education opportunities in terms of ecology, uses some ecological principles and laws to analyze equal higher education opportunities from different sides, and adjust and control equal opportunities of higher education by applying these principles and laws to promote all students of our country to have equal higher education opportunities.The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter explains the reason of putting forward the problem, thinking ways and frame of the thesis, methods and meaning of this research. Chapter two and Chapter three are the theoretical foundation of this study, which expand ecology principle and law applied in educational field, the educational ecology development and research state at home and abroad, and briefly introduce the state of equal opportunities of higher education in our country. Chapter four is the core of the dissertation, divided into five section altogether. Section one macroscopically describes the ecological factors influencing equal higher education opportunities. Section two analyzes the limiting factors influencing equal higher education opportunities, and propose applying limiting factor law to adjust and control equal higher education opportunities. Section three puts forward how to utilize the edge effect to adjust and control equal higher education opportunities after analyzing equal higher education opportunities with the concept of the edge effect. Section four analyzes the pluralism that could realize equal higher education opportunities by using the bio-diversity principle. In section five, through analyzing the higher educational loss of balance of the ecology, it points out that it is necessary to realize higher education ecological balance in order to promote equal higher education opportunities.
