Human society step into era of knowledge-driven economy already, the social environment is fast changing, under world informationization , technicalization , era background that globalize , follow branch trend and enhancement , totalization of trend of scientific development, the crossing and permeability between every discipline have reached the unprecedented degree, already to advocate team unity become inevitable in university's research work. But, how to play the scientific research team which produces the high performance, choose and is it agree with scientific research team leader that era need is it lead development , scientific research of team have very important great meanings to come jointly to train especially.The traditional method taking intelligence test as choosing talents of main fact has some defects , the reason is that have not there has not inevitable connection between high IQ and high performance. For this reason, David.McClelland ,Profess of Harvard University published the article entitled"Testing for Competency Rather Than Intelligence"in 1973, propose replacing traditional intelligence measurement by competency, thus established the foundation for the birth of competency theory.This research is in studying and using the foundation competency at present and practical experience for reference, adopt literature analysis and expert interviews to refine 50 items element of the competency which go out of the leader of high-efficient scientific research team of university, then work out the questionnaire to implement questionnaire investigation,directing agaist 160 scientific research personnel in 25 ministerial levels laboratories or research centers of 7 ordinary university in Chongqing,Utilizing the factor analyse in SPSS to explore compentency of the leader of high-efficient scientific research team of university.The result of study shows: The leader of high-efficient scientific research team of university adds up 10 items competency:High level research capacity,Good mentality,Spirit of science,Team responsible,People staircase realm,Exceptional charm,Organizing and coordinating capacity,Team technical capabilities portfolio,Analysis of reflection and Legal awareness.On the basis of structuring competency model about the leader of high-efficient scientific research team of university, having also probed into measure and suggestion of training the leader of high-efficient scientific research group of university at present...
