With kinds of psychology and education theory throwing into china from western countries in recent years, some recognition of teaching course are becoming extreme. The controlling in teaching course has been in hard rebuttal, especially in the Chinese teaching field. Actually, it is the misunderstanding for the word"control"and misunderstanding for the"controlling theory". The controlling theory used in the Chinese teaching is capable to make the blindness and random widely existed in Chinese teaching overcame and the Chinese teaching becomes systematic, normal, which improve the teaching quality and efficiency and promotes students intelligence and Chinese ability development. This study tries to make use of the controlling theory in the Chinese course conforming in order to make the Chinese course most efficient.Some methods such as document investigation, motivation are used in this study. This paper discusses the function of the controlling theory from the following aspects: Chinese teaching is a controlling course, the improving of teacher's ability, of teacher's controlling ability, of student's self-controlling ability, the direction controlling theory practiced in the reading teaching, quantity controlling theory practiced in the composition teaching, quantity controlling theory practicing in the integrating study. Through the rough study the controlling theory has active significance in Chinese teaching practice.
