China is famous for its peom-teaching.The peom-teaching activities, which are based on poems, make nonnegligible function to our country's politics, culture and personal development all the time, represent Chinese fine cultural traditon. However, nowadays poem-teaching activities were hard hit by disparate society and the Lagged educational idea. With the idea of new curriculum criterion proposing-"all is for the students' development". That poem-teaching will play an increasing role in sound personality training was gradually borne in on people. Peom-teaching is beginning to regenerating gradually.The thesis expanded the poem-teaching from the concept characteristic of poetry and the history of poem-teaching, which will play an important part in the development of personality and absorb much valuable experience from the history. The thesis focus on discussing how to exert poem-teaching to improve the sound personality training during the personality stirring times guided by New Curriculum Criterion. Teachers make students recite the poems to be sensitive to life in the teaching experience by interesting, comparison, self -analysis and kinds of activities, Teacher make students read the poems from different aspects to develop the students' personalities, to grow up in a healthful, caring environment and construct harmony environment.
