Teaching Environment is an important factor of teaching activities. At the present, the relative studies are mostly attempts to analyze the effects of teaching environment on students'theory learning, with the researches centered on effects induced by a single factor in particular. Meanwhile, relative studies about physical education are mainly focused on expounding theories, thus lacking empirical researches. As for tennis teaching, researches are mainly concerned with practicing methodologies, educational reforms and applications of certain single tennis skills, among which researches on the teaching environment of tennis is far from enough.Through interviews, literature review and questionnaires, this paper has drawn the following findings by adopting factor analysis to mathematically analyze the investigation results of questionnaires. (1) according to the different degrees of influence, the descending order of factors of the teaching environment are as follows: the teaching material and data factor, the organization environment factor, the sensibility environment factor, the space-time factor, the facilities environment factor, the interpersonal environment factor and the information environment factor; (2) there is no striking differences of the effects exerting by each teaching environment factor among the fourth-year, second-year and the third students, but there are striking differences of the effects exerting by facility environment factor between the second and third-year students. Besides, the effects of space-time factor are differed over male and female. In addition, the effects of space-time factor and interpersonal factor take on striking differences among different majors.Based on the above conclusions, having referred to the theories of teaching environment, the present author of this paper has proposed five suggestions for the sake of reasonable distributions of teaching resources and the optimization of teaching environment. (1) the teacher should uses teaching materials and data factors such as VCD/DVD and multimedia courseware and the academy should do to their best to collect enough amount and kinds of the latest written materials specialized in tennis, and the tennis staff room should update the video materials duly; (2) Teachers should use place control on the total number of the students in one class.(3)With the lecturing time being guaranteed, teachers may extend the effective practicing time if necessary. (4) Conduct more tennis matches between different majors, grades and classes. (5) If the financial condition permits, schools may establish more plastic and cement courts, or reconstruct the sandy ground. (6) Teachers can optimize the teaching environment and facilitate teaching and learning activities by taking control of the factors of teaching environment in a comprehensive way.
