Tennis sport is in booming development, which has become a new favorite in university and colleges sports teaching. Improving its teaching quality and cultivating advanced talents has become the important aspect of university reform. As the basic elements of tennis teaching activities, the improvement and optimization of tennis teaching environment is on the agenda. Scanning the related literatures, I found that the theoretical and empirical research achievement about tennis teaching environment is very rich, while the empirical research about sports teaching is far more less and the theoretical system has not been built. The current literatures are mostly focusing on exploring the teaching methods, teaching present situation, its contrast in tactics and improvements and so on. However, the literatures about the substance of tennis teaching environment and combing the characteristics of tennis sports are numbered.Based on research methods through documents and survey, this thesis reaches the results by data inves tigation and analysis using SPSS software. There are two main kinds of elements influencing teaching envir onment for specific training of college students majoring tennis for Sports Education. One is the physical e nvironment including facilities, space-time environment, and teaching materials. The other is psychosocial environment composed of emotion, organizational environment, teaching information status and interperso nal status. The latter has a greater effect on specific training of college students majoring Sports Education of tennis. These elements have no significant effect on students’ specific training among students with diffe rent genders. But there are significant effects among students of different grades. The organizational enviro nment has a greater effect on junior students than sophomores.According to the previous discussion, some suggestions put forward based on related theories of teachi ng environment. Firstly, universities and colleges should continue to upgrade and innovate tennis teaching environment, regulate comprehensively on teaching environmental elements, which will provide strong sup port for teaching equality and effect improvement and help students improve their study and make teaching activities develop smoothly. Secondly, we should fully use intermediary role of universities and colleges to spread tennis sports and expand the effect of tennis culture and value of exercise to attract attentions of univ ersity leaders and related departments, which can help to enact series of effective measures to strengthen th e equipment of tennis facilities to make sure tennis teaching activities in universities carry out in good order and provide well-being physical environment. Thirdly, teachers should ensure teaching as a leading ro le, cultivate students’ subject consciousness, correct their attitudes towards study and help them build right value system towards tennis training. Finally, it is necessary to improve teaching methods and make full us e of modernized teaching technique in order to make classroom teaching more interesting and oriented and to build an active and positive teaching.
