From the ideas "following the nature", "education is life" to "life is education", next-to-life educational theories are developing gradually. Education and life are connected closely, but our traditional history teaching is far away from life. To stimulate students' interest in learning history, to make students develop in all-round way, to bring students' individualities into play and to promote students' socialized development, next-to-life history teaching is necessary. For the long run, history teaching has disregarded students' life, mainly because the history teaching function is dissimilated, the textbooks are always narrating grandly, the classroom teaching is rigid, the space concerning with education and teaching is confined, the teaching evaluation favours students' grades and so on. Therefore, to carry out next-to-life history teaching, we may begin with preparing -lessons, teaching methods, learning approach, evaluation etc, understand and analyse students' innate knowledge and experience, exploit the contents which are next to students' life in textbooks, create varieties of next-to-life teaching environment, so as to make students establish, experience and realize the history self-directedly.
