With the informatization of higher education, IT has changed the circumstance of the higher education to a great extent. Blended learning, which integrates the face-to-face interaction and self-paced online learning, gives us a new means for teaching reforming. In this thesis, such research methods as literature concordance, interview, action research and observation are used to study the application of blended learning for higher education.First of all, this thesis elaborated the conception of blended learning, and discusses the meaning and principle of it. Part two proposes a blended learning design model, which consists of three factors based on the discussion the model and guidelines of blended learning, The three factors are the foreside analyses, model selection and activity design, and the adaptability and effectiveness of blended learning for students are examined and analyzed by using the model that author proposes The experiences of this study indicate that blended learning has significant potential for higher education and it can be applied to accommodate traditional education.In the conclusion part of the dissertation, the author proposes a solution toimprove the effect of blended learning from the two-aspect__teacher and school.And these propositions are all abstracted after the action research. The author expects these propositions can provide some revelation to the teachers and the further reflection. At the same time, the author also indicates the insufficiency about the study and expects aspect of the further research.
