The new round of basic education curriculum reform is an important measure to improve the quality of the Chinese nation. In the new curriculum reform process, teachers are the main force. Thair act and ideas of education will have a great impact to the success of the reform program. Therefore, it is necessary to train the primary and secondary school teachers for the new curriculum before let them implement new courses.Since the implementation of basic education curriculum reform, Many scholars and researchers conducted many studies on the new curriculum teacher training courses to explore ways and means of improving the quality of training. But viewing from the current situation in the country, there are not any investigation or research on the new curriculum teacher training of the minority's basic education. Especially to the Xinjiang Uyghur minority, research in this area is still a blank. This is detrimental to the success of the Uyghur basic education curriculum reform. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a study on the Uyghur teacher training courses to identify problems and lessons learned, and to find ways of improving the quality of training.This paper made a study on Uyghur teacher training courses for primary and secondary schools. Its purpose is : understanding aimed at primary and secondary school teacher training courses new situation, analyzing existing problems and their causes,and finding ways to improve the situation. this paper is divided into four parts. The first part is"prolegomenon", introduction to some of the major research background, purpose and significance of research ideas and research methods. The second part is"the new curriculum reform and teacher quality required". This part discusses the background of the new curriculum reform, the goal of the new curriculum reform and the essential quality of teachers in the background of the new curriculum reform. The third part is"teacher training status of Uyghur primary and secondary schools". This part analyzes the existing problems in the Uyghur teacher training courses for the new curriculum and their causes on the basis of the survey and statistical information collated. The fourth part is"countermeasures to improve teacher training status of Uyghur primary and secondary schools". This part proposes solutions to improve the Uyghur new curriculum teacher training status from the point of existing problems, the geographical environment and the level of economic development of Xinjiang, the bilingual education trend and Uyghur cultural environment.
