Algorithm thought is one of the citizen's basic accomplishments in information age. It's a new subject to the middle school's mathematics teaching. In Our country's current middle school's mathematics education, the algorithm teaching still is the start and the exploration stage. From the combination of algorithm study and the new concepts of mathematical curriculum reform the thesis tries to expound algorithm teaching preliminarily in elementary mathematics especially with the guide of our county's Mathematics Curricular Criterion of Ordinary Senior Middle School.The thesis has summarized the algorithm's intuition and the precise meaning and the characteristic and then has given the algorithm expression form.The algorithm first time entered the middle school mathematics compulsory course. The thesis has made the analysis on its significance. The thesis pointed out that the algorithm content had reflected the time characteristic and own the algorithm thought is the basic request to the citizen of the future society. The algorithm is mathematics and application's important constituent. Mathematics' development history tells us, some important progress in mathematics branch has symbolized the important algorithm formation. Researching the algorithm essence, promoted the computer appearance and the computer science birth. Afterwards, the thesis has made the analysis from student's angle to the algorithm's importance and pointed out the algorithm's education value: Algorithm mathematics is grasped easily by more people. The algorithm study is helpful to the promotion of the thought's development.The thesis has made the analysis on mathematics algorithm teaching's present situation. It discovered that the algorithm teaching reform has all highlighted the information age request from the overseas algorithm teaching analysis. The reform reduced the formalized operation and drills mechanically, it pays great attention to the students to the algorithm and the practical application understands. Discovered from the analysis, the teacher' s algorithm understanding existence deviation, it led to the flaw in the course of teaching and strangled student's enthusiasm and the creativity. The flaw did not favor student's development.The thesis has analyzed "Algorithm Preliminary" of the New Curricular Criterion, it pointed out the good and bad points. The article parsing algorithm teaching's key point and the difficulty, and have given the breakthrough key and the difficult strategy and the way. The thesis finally has made the elaboration to the algorithm diversification and the optimization.
