Even though before-work formal education,in-work continuous education and all kinds of training of curriculum reformation play an important role in improving the quality of teachers of primary and secondary schools. However, informal learning also can accelerate teachers'professional development and improve the teaching quality. Following the coming of learning society and deepening of education reformation, teachers who are in primary and secondary schools must know the importance of informal learning,cultivate the abilities of informal learning and grasp the skills and strategies of informal learning.There are four parts in this thesis:First, it introduces the conception of informal learning of teachers who are in the primary and secondary schools, the theoretical basis and the ways. The author thinks teachers'who are in primary and secondary schools informal learning means the activities that individual teachers or teachers group do in work and life which can improve the teaching skills and let teachers master professional knowledge through discussing with others, observing others, communicate with others, books, internet, shopping, traveling and so on. They can be either designed or planless. Lifelong learning, constructivism, humanism, post-modernism are the theoretical basis of teachers'who are in primary and secondary schools informal learning. The ways of that can be divided into two different levels: One is self-centered, the other is with-others. The ways that are self-centered include reflection, self-directed learning, observing others, imitating others, surfing the internet, reading books, watching TVs etc. The ways that are with-others include discussing with others, consulting others, mentoring, cooperative learning, shopping, traveling and taking part in friends'parties etc.Secondly, it researches why the teachers who are in primary and secondary schools need informal learning. From the adults'perspective, it is in order to develop themselves, learn in their whole lives, enjoy their spare time. From the perspective of teachers'profession, it is in order to promote the teachers professional development, the need of teachers'happy lives and the pursuit of the beauty of teachers'professionThirdly, it tries to find the reason why the teachers who are in primary and secondary schools don't often learn something by the ways of informal learning. According to the effect of the questionnaires, the author finds the reasons which are rigid learning ideas, wrong learning strategies, bad organizational culture, unsuitable assessment mechanism and limited learning resources.Fourthly, after analyzing the effect of questionnaires, the author puts forward some ways to solve the present situation. First of all, let the government and education department make informal learning be more attractive through the law and the system of admitting the effect of informal learning, and let informal learning be in fashion through offering all kinds of learning chances and abundant learning resources. Next, let schools and educational organization create good culture in schools, institute learning community, reform the assessment mechanism to fuel the passion and motivation of teachers'informal learning. Finally, let teachers become continuous reformer, be reflective, have the abilities of action research. Let teachers master the ways of informal learning and use the ways of informal learning to make learning, life and work link together.The creative point of this paper lies in bringing forward a question for discussion which is teachers'who are in primary and secondary schools informal learning. Bringing forward this question is not in order to be against the formal training and education of teachers, however, it is in order to let informal learning become another way to help teachers develop.
