Education is the most important reason to national development, and the teacher is the key factor to ensure the quality of education, teachers’ learning and development has a direct impact on teachers’ qualities and abilities. As a multi-ethnic gathering, special geographical environment and a multi-cultural atmosphere,Education of Xinjiang also presents the particularities that different from other regions. In order to improve the educations in Xinjiang, the minority teachers are becoming more and more important to Government. So nowadays how the minority teachers study efficiently through informal learning? What are the obstacles that effect the minority teachers’ s informal learning? If the minority teachers have improved the professional skills through informal learning? All these problems are very valuable for us to study.The survey mean to figure out the concept of teachers’ informal learning through content studies and its methods and theories. In this study teachers’ in formal learning means that teachers learn things based on the needs of work and life.Teachers learn and organize and decide and inspire by themselves. This study investigate the real information about the minority teachers’ informal learning through questionnaires and interviews of 92 minority teachers.It was found that the minority teachers have more intense and awareness in informal learning.But there is still a large distance to improvement. The most important factors are from the teachers themselves and their working environment. Such as the lacks of ways and means of informal learning are mainly through talking with students and colleagues.Minority teachers think that the informal learning could improve their teaching skills and could make them honorable during work time. But the enviroments in schools on informal learning conditions are lacked, An effective informal learning culture hasn’t been formed in schools. This study suggest some advice to improve the efficiency of informal learning:(1)creating a harmonious informal learning culture(2)create inter-ethnic relationships between teachers(3)the create a reasonable evaluation system to improve minority informal learning driving force(4)prove the responsibilities of teachers(5)more ways and methods of learning(6)more reading...
