As a highlight of current reform of chinese curriculum, comprehensive learning is attracting more and more attention in educational circles,it has become one of the hotspots as well as one of the difficulties in the study of chinese curriculum.Conspicuous rearching findings have been obtained in the theoretical study of chinese comprehensive learning,there have also been boldness attempts in the design of teaching materials,and prodigious achievements has also been obtained in concrete practice.However,The underlying problem still cause our anxiety despite good improvement,the current situation in the study of comprehensive learning is not sastifying,there still exist some problems in design of teaching materials as well as pratice that need to be solved urgently.Based on consideration above, this thesis will try to give reflection and summary about comprehensive learning in the aspect of design of teaching materials as well as practice,and to discuss the developing trend of comprehensive learning.The whole text consists of five parts:(1)present the question. (2)discourse the existing problem with regard to the design of teaching materials (take edition of People'Education Press as an example) in comprehensive learning.Several major items associated with the problem are as follows: some theme designs of activity deviate from students' living practice, the situation that writing and oral communication are integrated with chinese comprehensive learning leads to weakened requirements for oral commucation ability,the contents are too narrow,reference materials are too much,and the activities are too frequent,etc.(3)expound the existing problem in the practice of comprehensive learning,this problem concentrates on a couple of major items :firstly,there exist chinese-alone tendency and non-chinese tendency in chinese comprehensive learning,and so also is either deficient or excessive guidance of teacher ;secondly,lack creativity and openness which are intrinsic characteristics of chinese comprehensive learning;fourthly,the tendencies toward labelling,superficiality,peripherization and deficiency of chinese-based characteristics emerge from Mid-Term Examination;fifthly, presentation of achievement lays too much emphasis on culture while neglecting the principle of basics and scientificity;sixthly,only the fine students not all in a body participate and seventhly, there exist misunderstanding as well as weakening in evaluation .(4)discuss strategy for the implementation of comprehensive learning from several main aspects such as topic selection,evaluation,requirements for teachers (5)give a basic probe into the developing trend of comprehensive learning.
