Research About The Identity And Characteristic Setting Of The Local University

With the reformation and development of the higher education, the problem concerning the local college and university research causes people concern more and more. The problem that how the local university identifies itself exactly to develope its characteristic in gradually intense market competition has caused the scholar's concern of our country with considers. Therefore the research of the identity and characteristic of the local university has the theoretic value and the realistic meaning. There are four parts in this thesis.The first part is foreword to explain the research method adopted by this thesis, the significance and background of the research and summing up the document about this research at home and abroad, and so on.The second part of this thesis is to explore the the significance of the identity and characteristic setting of the local university. The writer think that the exact identity is the basis of the characteristic setting; that the characteristic setting is the purpose of the exact identity; that the relation between the exact identity and the characteristic setting for the sustainable and health development of the local university is complementary one.The third part is to analyse the present condition of the local university. The writer expatiates the problem from two aspects. Including describing the present condition and the main problem of the identity and characteristic setting of the local university.The fourth part of this thesis is to explore how the local university should be identified and how the local university should be set characteristic.
