Based on the theories, questionnaires and interviews, thisstudy is an empirical one on mathematics teachers' concepts andacts in educational mathematics. It includes five parts.The first part is foreword. It introduces the backgroundand significance of the research. It also gives the subjectproblem and the innovation. The second part is theoryintroduction. Not only the meaning of educational mathematics,but also the connection between educational mathematics andmathematical education is reformed. It also referred to thedirective significance of the mathematics course reform and thenew thought that the educational mathematics brings to themathematics teacher's specialization. In the third part, withthe teachers' questionnaires and the data processing of them,the author carries on further research aiming at attendanceand interviews, then gives us the result of the research.According to the discovery of the third part, the fourth partgives the basic direction and methods of educationalmathematics research. The last part is the conclusion and theexpectations, summarizing the result of the study forward. Italso points out the weak points of the research and areas forfurther study. This essay has mainly presented the conclusion of theresearch from the following respects: first, the middle schoolmathematics teachers' teaching and research situation; second,the prospect of educational mathematics development andmathematics teachers' views on educational mathematics; third,the basic direction and basic methods on educationalmathematics research.
