U.S.A. is the most developed country of scientific andtechnological competitiveness in the world, which has more than 50percent of theses and specialities of the world, has occupied 43.92 percentof the total number of Nobel Prize for natural science of the world, hasincluded 65 percent of Nobel economics awards in the world, hasoccupied and is recognized as "the promise Nobel Prize of the domain ofinternational mathematics"—37 percent of Fields' mathematics rewarded.This kind of extremely strong scientific and technological capabilitycomes from U.S.A. 's ripe graduate education system and is pregnant withremarkable graduate education continually.American graduate Education system in the horizontal aspect hasstrong affinities with university, govemment and society, and inlongitudinal degree it is the long-term accumulation in many kinds offactors such as history and culture, politics. American graduate educationsystem is a diversified, many angle, multi-level complicated subject. Forthis reason, this text defines relevant concepts such as graduate educationand graduate education system at first, outstanding two threads by linkingdegree longitudinally and horizontally to launch research and discussionof American graduate education system: In longitudinal degree the paperdiscusses the development course of education system, and it implies thatGraduate education system development course is a result of many kindsof factors, and it is a lot of that educate pioneer's exploring, open,developing accumulation historically even more. The accumulation ofhistory means that American graduate education system completesprogressively by being accompanied with U.S.A. higher educational modernization process of development.
