On Exploration And Utilization Of Parents' Efforts As Curriculum Resource

If only parents cooperate with educating part and become the pushing effort but not the pulling effort to the curriculum reform can the "new curriculum" go smoothly. Parents should be taken in curriculum reform. Based on our present condition exploration and utilization of parents' education efforts are reasonable and practical, which are meaningful to every aspect, such as students, schools, teachers, parents, even society. It is indicated by some original data and investigation I made that primary and middle schools in our country haven't fully explored and utilized parents' education efforts. Combining research experiences the writer put forward the preconditions, ways and noticeable items of exploring and utilizing parents' education efforts. Furthermore, considering the situation of our country the writer primarily analyzed the problem of exploring and utilizing parents' education efforts of primary and middle schools in remote areas.For exploring and utilizing parents' education efforts two conditions are inevitable, which are support and guarantee of national and local government and teachers and parents' renewal ideas.There are some ways to explore and utilize parents' education efforts, including: exerting students as bridges and communicating with parents; inducting parents into support school education ideally and materially; inviting parents to take part in exploring school-based curriculum; making chances for parents to sharing sensible family education experiences; parents' involvement in decision-making, supervision and evaluation of schools.During the course of exploring and utilizing parents' education efforts five noticeable items as following should be considered by teachers: respecting and understanding parents and treating them impartially; avoiding excessive compare and tacky remark,; making suitable plan and paying attention to time, form and quantity; directing and helping parents; coordination between teachers.Primary and middle schools in remote and rural areas should adjust measures to local conditions in order to explore and utilize parents' educational efforts fully and well and governments of all levels should offer attention and help as much as possible.
