Since the mid 1980s, large number of extra physical laborers in rural china has moved form countryside to work in the cities or to work in the village and township enterprises. These peasant workers make up what we called "farmers' frenzied hunt for work in cities". When the peasant workers move form their rural hometown to the cities, the changes are not only in the case of geography. What really count are the changes of their thinking method, psychological tendency and the systems in which they live. So, these changes we mentioned above are really the process of the peasant workers adaptation to the changes of their environment. The research on the quality of life (QOL) is not only a key point in the study of "farmers' frenzied hunt for work in cities" but also very significant for the realization of urbanization and modernization in our country. In the development of human being, the improving of quality of life (QOL) and the liberation of personality are the core content. So the research of indicators of quality of life (QOL) is becoming the issue that people focus on. China now is in the process of building the so-called well-off society, and the material conditions have reached certain level, its effect on quality of life (QOL) is decreasing. Life satisfaction is becoming an important indicator of quality of life (QOL).There are four parts in the thesis. In the first chapter, I briefly introduce the aim, significance and innovation of this work; present the proceeding of the relative research. Then I explain the method I employed and give a description of the sample. In chapter two, I explore the subjective quality of life (QOL) of peasant workers, the main contents are the satisfaction of income, living environment, leisure time, social interaction, education of children, social security, medicals and health, and so on.In chapter three, I analyze the effective factors of subjective quality of life (QOL), such as income, age, and employment. The last chapter is to draw a conclusion. After measuring the degree of satisfaction to living quality and analyzing factors affect them, I put forward the main problems lie in the peasant workers' current life and the reason why their subject quality of life (QOL) is hard to enhance.
