With the rapid development of modern social economy and technology and the increase of circadian rhythm and study pressure, the middle school students meet with or produce varieties of psychological problems in social communication, study, living and self-expression. To make things even worse, the phenomena such as students running away from home and committing suicide frequently appear. Therefore, the mental health of the students makes us worrying. As a Chinese teacher, it is important to permeate the mental health education in teaching, which can reduce the students' mental problems, promote the students' health of body and mind, develop talented people and improve the overall quality of the entire people of the nation. This essay emphasized on how to permeate healthy mental education in Chinese teaching. The whole essay is divided into four chapters.The beginning is a preface, pointing out a harsh situation the primary and high school students are facing and the urgency to implement mental health education.Chapter one introduces the definition of mental health, the criterion of middle school students' mental health, some problems among them and factors that affects them.Chapter two examines the significance of implementing mental health education in Chinese teaching. Firstly, Chinese teaching can help students with better communication; secondly, contribute to arouse students' learning motivation ; thirdly, help to toughen their will; fourthly, perfect the students' personality.Chapter three introduces the premise of permeating mental health education in Chinese teaching: to be a mental health Chinese teacher; building the cooperation, harmonious, interactive relationship between teachers and students; creating a kind of loose , comfortable and democratic teaching environment.Chapter four is the most important part, which sets forth the approaches of permeating mental health education in Chinese teaching, including the followings. Firstly, classroom teaching is a main way to permeate mental health education. Secondly, colorful extracurricular activities are assistant ways to permeate mental health education.
