Based on the Chinese teaching in Middle school, this paper scientifically expatiates the cultivating education of interest in Chinese contemporary poem, which is the educational process of cultivating students' understanding of Chinese contemporary poem through teacher's targeted, well-planned and well-organized teaching activities. This process consists of four elements. They are the construction of new poem concept, the acquisition of new poem knowledge, the forming of interest in new poem and aesthetic quality for appreciating new poem. Besides, the paper makes an all-around exploration of the meaning of the issue. By means of investigation and data analysis and taking the current situation of Chinese teaching in Middle school into consideration, this paper scientifically analyses the reason why Chinese students take little interest in Chinese contemporary poem: the misleading of the target of college entrance examination, the influence of the modern network technology's development, the impact of post-modern culture, Chinese teachers' unconsciousness and incompetence for Chinese contemporary poem and etc. Finally by considering the classroom teaching in Middle school and aiming at solving the various proposed problems, the paper makes exploring research on the principle and approach as for how to realize the cultivating education on forming the interest in Chinese contemporary poem.
