The Comparative Study And Enlightenment On Moral Education Of Contemporary University Between China And Singapore

Moral Education of University is an important part of moral education in our country. Since China has founded for 60 years, Moral Education of University in China has made remarkable achievements, creating a large number of "Four haves" talent of socialism for our country. At present, China is undergoing a social transition. Facing the rich material world, there is the "moral loss" in many students. These phenomena affect the construction of socialist harmonious society and the smooth realization of modernization seriously, and pose a severe challenge for the moral education of University in China.Comparison method is a scientific research method. Only comparison can distinguish, and only comparison can have scientific development and innovation. Wanting to solve these social problems of the social transition for moral education of University in China, to learn from the moral education experience of countries in the world is an important way. Singapore, a small country in East Asia, where the modernization process has been completed, has also confronted with a similar moral dilemma in China today. But, through the strengthening of moral education of university and promoting of cultural identity and essence, Singapore have dealt with problems about the absorption of foreign culture and reconstruction of national shared values well. Although there are fundamental differences in social systems between the two countries, they are both in Asia, both Confucian cultural background, and have similar cultural roots values, and in the process of modernization have experienced conflict and distress of the cultural of the East and West. Therefore, it is of great significance to compare of moral education of university in China and Singapore, and to draw on the successful experience of Singapore for strengthening and improving the moral education in Chinese universities.In this paper, through study and analysis for the moral status of college in the new time, and thematic comparison of moral objectives, moral content, moral ways and means of moral education, I will analyze similarities and differences of moral education of university between China and Singapore. In the comparison and analysis, on the one hand, keep advantages of moral education of the Chinese university in order to inherit and carry forward the advantages:adhere to the class and political nature of moral, with the socialist core value system to guide the work of the moral education of University; attach great importance to the educational function of moral education of University, put the moral education on an important position of the work of the University; inherit and carry forward the fine traditions of Chinese culture, and acquire the world's civilization. On the other hand, analyze characteristics of the moral education of University in Singapore to learn and innovate:combine the Confucian heritage with the modern society, achieve modernization of Confucian thought; learn from Singapore's moral model of the "diversity and unity", innovate the moral theory system of China University; put greater emphasis on implicit education, enhance osmotic strength of moral education; attach importance to effectiveness of moral education of the university, cultivate moral thinking ability and practical ability; the whole society to participate, to form a moral force, to create a good moral environment; moral and legal simultaneously, promote moral education combined with the legal constraints; to strengthen efforts to mental health education, pay attention to the moral function of psychological counseling. So it will strengthen and improve the moral education in Chinese universities, to try and do some work for the realization of China's moral education innovation.
