They have to face the ever-becoming complicated society. The mass media environment is one of the most important factors that exert influence on them. To find out the current mass-sports-information-contact situation of the students in Jiangxi universities will be helpful in developing the collegial physical education course and innovate the mass media supplement in Jiangxi Province. By using the research methods of literature and investigates, this paper has made a study about the mass-sports-information-contact situation of the 550 students in 11 universities, and analyzing the Situation which students of Jiangxi and the Nation, contact the mass media such as the television, the world wide webs, the newspaper, and the broadcasting, discovers Jiangxi Province and the national's similarities and differences. The aim to arouse the attention of the government, the relative functional departments evens the whole society. Therefore, ensure the mass media system functions well in promoting the sports consciousness and shaping the sports outlook of university students, enhance their consciousness, enthusiasm in sports activities, and exerts more positive influence on campus sport culture. In the same time, reveals the main problems of the mass media involved and their causes, thereby, put forth some countermeasures in order to give some reference in creating a positive, healthy sports environment for university students. And result as follows:1. The present age society is an information-congested society. The mass media presents an essential condition for university students to acquire the sports information. After the emerging media Internet gradually becomes continues the television, the broadcast, the newspaper gains the sports information the new origin and the channel, changed the aspect which the television, the broadcast, the newspaper three stands in opposition.2. This study validates that it is an active choice for students to contact the mass sports media. There are many motives varying with different sports information and different personalities.3. The university student skim through the Website main content except the current event, the entertainment, the culture and education class is university student's first choice, "the sports" is located 4. Explained the university student holds the important status in the network media to the sports content choice in, surpasses half number of. The sports has become everybody to access the net a browsing important content. 4. The appraisement and appetency of students about the sports information are positive as a whole in the questionnaire. But there are some express "no idea" or not give answer and even some choose "no good" or "very bad". The main course are "the forms of media are monotonous", "they only report success but no sorrow"the broadcasting time is not rational" and "no much useful information for the reader" etc.5. The main problems in contacting the mass sports information for university students are: The relative sports knowledge, sports violence, sportsmanship, idolatry etc. exert some negative influence on students. Its reason has the mass media to cause university student thought view, the values orientation to appear some kind of deviation, the sports medium propaganda work social culture savors not high, university student own existence weakness, the shortcoming of the students themselves the shortcoming of college PE system and so on.
