Mathematical assignment can promote the development of students'independent thinking and learning. It will further consolidate and strengthen the mathematical knowledge and skills which the students have learned in their maths lessons. The maths assignment will furthermore stimulate and cultivate their abilities to solve practical problems.During a long period of time, maths assignment has been bringing a heavy burden to the students'studies, especially to those who have difficulties with their lessons. If they can't complete their assignments in time, they will probably copy when they encounter difficulties, but the well-qualified students can finish their assignment smoothly. If so, the teacher will spend quite a lot of time for the inefficient homework correction. Can we do something to change this kind of out-dated assignments in order to improve the students'abilities and grades? To answer this question, the writer has done some investigation and analysis about the maths assignments in vocational school so as to breakthrough the evaluation system about the after-school assignment's arrangement, accomplishment and homework correction. During the experimental reform of this teaching method, the writer has been trying to find out a standard and effective way to arrange the after-school assignments.First, the thesis introduces the basic conditions in vocational schools, the basic courses and the basic knowledge for maths education. To seek the improvement of what has been achieved about the maths educational reform , the present thesis has explored some basic mathematical theories , including the Feedback Principle, the Basic Recognition Theory, the Constructive Learning Theory, the Recognition Learning Theory and the Subjective Educational Theory. This thesis is focused on the investigation and analysis of students'assignments in the vocational schools. The writer is trying to analyze their traditional ways of learning, attitudes and their requirements about the after-school assignments so as to understand the non-recognition factors in the students'learning process, for example, whether or not the students can feedback and summarize what they have learned, or if they can reason and judge independently when they encounter the learning barriers. Combining the vocational school students'characteristics and the present maths education system, this thesis has come up with a bold tentative plan on assignment reform and experimental research. It has been carried on the comparison and contrast from two groups of students of the same number and the same age in the class. By changing traditional ways of homework, the writer has arranged optional assignments, self-evaluation tests and research task for them to do at home. This kind of reform can innovate the assignment evaluation system for the new curriculum and test the effectiveness on the maths education. After one term of maths assignment innovation, the experimental analysis has proved that the assignment innovation can stimulate the students'interest, cultivate a good learning habit, promote their creative learning process .This process includes the evaluation reform, mid-term, final term examination, regular tests and face-to-face interview. It has been proved that the maths assignment innovation is effective on many aspects of the students school education.
