As a branch of higher medical education, the hidden curriculum ofmedical college is an important factor in the educational system of theinstitutions of higher medical learning. It is fostered by the medicalschool cultural traditions, spirits, atmosphere and so on, which is one ofthe important environmental factors for the medical students' maturity.With the help of the staffs' belief, spirits and value forming in thelong-termed educational practice, Chinese medical colleges anduniversities should cultivate medical students with the noble personalityof medical ethics, and good humanistic quality, based on a schoolspiritual atmosphere permeated by medical scientific spirits andhumanism and on their histories, the school regulations, and the campusenvironment as well. It is of vital importance to improve the medicalstudents with higher comprehensive quality and ability, to advance thepresent medical college reform in China, to realize the cultured aim andenhance the cultural taste of medical college.This thesis attempts to probe into the hidden curriculum of Chineseinstitutions of higher medical learning theoretically and practically. Probeinto its content and the function of constructing medical college hidden-curriculum, analyze the present problem and the reason of it. Thenit suggests a design of constructing a sound hidden-curriculum stage inorder to promoting researches on the construction of medical collegehidden-curriculum, realizing the sustained development of higher medicalcollege and university, and culturing the well-medical-student.
