At the present stage, the research on the problem of poorstudents in mathematics are based on the definition of poorstudents in mathematics, the reason why they are becoming poorin study, and the strategy of the transformation. These studiesare characterized by "empirical", "experimental" and"individual" Along with the in-depth research ofmathematics education, we also note that the research of poorstudents in mathematics are undergoing a subtle change. As Mr.Zhong says, " (the problem of the poor students in mathematics)without comprehensive interdisciplinary research, it isimpossible to get a convincing conclusion." It is in thiscontext that the research on the social psychologicalperspective shows its research value.What this research paid close attention to is the poorstudents in mathematics based on social psychology. Throughquestionnaires, interviews and other research methods, theresearch approaches to the role, the interpersonal relationshipand the performance of the poor students in mathematics in theclassroom interaction by empirical study. The results show that (1) the words and deeds of the poorstudents in mathematics can be explained with "rolebehavior" in the social psychology, that' s to say, thebehavior of the poor students in mathematics belongs to a kindof role behavior, "the role of poor students in mathematics"has label functions on them, and this label clamps down on thebehavior of the poor students in mathematics. (2) the poorstudent in mathematics is in a vulnerable situation in theclassroom interactions, the reasons include the influence ofteacher's, classmates around and "self-effect" (3) theinternal interpersonal relationship of poor students inmathematics demonstrates the features of approach,reciprocity, consistency and complementary.Based on the result of the study, there are some strategiesto transform the poor students in mathematics" (1) help them inself-understanding, self-transformation, and escape from"the role of poor student in mathematics"; (2) utilize group'spressure to transform the behavior of the poor students inmathematics; (3) change the individual of poor student inmathematics in way of transforming the group; (4) by influencingchildren with the children, let the superiority of mathematicsdrive the poor students in mathematics.
