| Teaching management plays an important role in colleges and universities as the basic activity and central part, and it is the basis of normal operation of teaching activities, and it is also the important guarantee of enhancing and teaching quality. P.E colleges, as a physical education cradle, wanting to cultivate a series of excellent P.E workers, need kinds of help. Therefore, it is noticeable that teaching management is very important for promoting teaching quality. At the same time, P.E investigators do some various researches on exploring scientific management, and give some advices.The status of teaching management in universities at ChongQing province is essential for manager. Thereby, the author surveys the teachers and students on it and talks with the person responsible and collects the program for specialty in physical education and, then, analyses the materials.This paper discusses the status of teaching management in P.E colleges including regulations, project, quality, evaluation. The results show that: 1)Universities carry out the credit system teaching management on basis of year system. The school couldn't implement credit system entirely because the students cost too many time on studying public curriculum and professional curriculum and also lack of the new course teacher. 2)The manager draw up a variety of rules and regulations, and set up a supervision panel to ensure the teacher and student execute it. 3)The aim of teaching project became widely and up-to-date while the curriculum system turn more scientifically and reasonably. However, there still exist problems such as the aim is too high. 4) By and large, the teacher's teaching method reassure the teaching quality. According to survey, the main reason is the student'attitude to influence the teaching quality.5) each university introduces new theory in evaluation system that is comprehensive assessment containing sports technique, attitude, emotion and capability.
