A Research On The Relationship Between Anxious Level And Coping Style Of The School Leaver In Macao

The research employed the methods of in-depth interview, literature studies, questionnaire to investigate the anxious level and coping style of the school leaver in Macao. The purpose is to explore the relations between anxious level and coping style, and the effects from the difference of the demographic factors. In data analysis, some traditional statistical methods such as correlation analysis and factors analysis were used.The result of research shows:1,Anxious level has a negative correlation with active coping style, and anxious level has a positive correlation with passive coping style. In living and study, appropriate anxiety is essential, need brings anxiety, it has function of activating on the individual. However, the physical and mental health of students was affected by high anxiety. The positive coping style helps to reduce the anxious mood.2,Demographic variable (gender, achievement, parent's state) have great effect on the anxious level and coping style. Because the psychology of boy and girl students is unripe, the expected value of parents, teacher or himself is too high, will make them feel the pressure, cause certain influence on its anxiety and coping ability.
