On The Philosophical Sense Of Ability Cultivation

The research on the issue of ability has turned out to be a new topic in the study of the Marxist Psychology. In the perspective of philosophy,ability refers to actual capacities and capabilities,which are shown in men's inner qualities,functioned by physical elements in coordination with psychological elements in social practice. These issues,including component essential factors,main characteristics,social bases of ability and the effect,which social bases have on society and history,provide a philosophic basis. The cultivation of ability refers to a series of activities in practice,in which able men are fostered and various abilities can be made use of and realized in a proper way by means of many ways of creating conditions. Among the basic elements are promoting the learning ability,developing one's potential,building up one's body,improving one's professional skills,enriching one's feelings and improving one's moral standards in the cultivation of ability. The cultivation of ability means a new answer to the development of history,a demand suited to social transition,a new path to the development of social productive forces,a developed new area for pushing the social development and getting additional strength for social full development.
