With the swift and violent development of the industrial and agricultural production, the excessive exploitation of natural resources and the discharge of pollutants result in the shortage of natural resources .The environments pollutions increasingly come into be severe, which has adversely affected the lives of human beings. The environmental protection has become the common call and the joint undertaking of the universe.The stage of middle school plays an important part in a persons' growth, as it is a period when his minds and thoughts grow from puerile to mature. What's more, the subject of chemistry is closely related to the environmental problem. Developing environmental education in chemistry teaching enables students to realize the occurrence, dangers and the prevention and cure measures of various kinds of environment pollution. It helps to cultivate the students' proper environmental value and the value of durable development.This paper studies the environmental education from theoretical and practical aspects. On the one hand, the paper elaborates the concept, basic notion and historical trace of the environmental education. It examines goals, principles, approaches and evaluation of the environmental education in middle school's chemistry teaching. On the other hand, survey questionnaire are adopted to get the situation of environmental education. So it is necessary to develop environmental education in middle school's chemistry teaching. On the base of previous work, we put forward an integrated and open able instruct system with the purpose that impregnates the new content into the research of middle school's chemistry teaching.
