Our State Council and Ministry of Education have decreed a series of projects for fostering persons of high quality and with ability of creativity since 2000. The competitions among countries in the future are actually the competitions of the ability of creativity. Therefore it is our obligation to carry out the spirit of creative thinking in schooling. We should place emphasis on cultivate the habit of thinking creatively as well as practicing actively in teaching.According to the present situation mentioned above and years of biology teaching practice in senior school, the thesis analyzed the meaning and the features of creative mind, discussed the necessity and urgency of fostering the creative thinking in schooling and introduced some measures which have been proved effective in the teaching of biology in the following respects: a systematic knowledge construction, the conscious of asking in class, doing enough exercise and experiments.Great changes have taken place since these measures had been performed 2 years ago. There are also some problems in practicing which need to be studied thoroughly.
