The problem of impoverished undergraduates has been the focal point of the society and the universities. It concerns the stabilization of universities and formation of the harmonious society. Especially, the problem of the impoverished undergraduates who are also learning-disabled (viz. Bi-disadvantaged undergraduate)is the emphasis and difficulty of the task of impoverished undergraduate. To solve the problem of Bi-disadvantaged undergraduate, the study put forward a design about applying Monitorial System(a kind of teaching method that a student tutor another one) to the task of impoverished undergraduate, then conducted an in-depth theoretical study and practical research about it. The following are the main contents:First, the study review the history of Monitorial System and its theoretical basis, then on the basis of presenting the history of the task of impoverished undergraduate in our country and its problems, the author put forward a theoretic design about applying Monitorial System to the task of impoverished undergraduate, then selected the free English tutorship class of Zhejiang Technical University as an example, and conducted an in-depth and detailed investigation and analysis about it.Conclusions of the study: Applying Monitorial System to the task of impoverished undergraduate is a positive and beneficial attempt. It can not only save the education investment and lighten pressure of teachers but also can improve cognition and emotion for both peer leader and bi-disadvantaged undergraduate. It will help to solve the problem of bi-disadvantaged undergraduate.
