In primary school teaching, there exists the diversity as to the approaches of recognition of Chinese characters, and each has its advantages and disadvantages. Through probing into the Chinese character teaching in terms of high efficiency recognition, I come to the discovery of zizu character,a way of character recognition based on the research of linguistics and philology. It absorbs the ancient advanced fruit of other methods and the traditional Chinese teaching experiences. Applying these advanced methods to the practical teaching, I managed to enlarge the amount of student's recognition and extended their reading scope, successfully reaching the target of high-efficiency in characters recognition.Based on the present character teaching conditions in primary school, this paper defines the teaching process and teaching approaches about zizu character teaching not only theoretically but practically. In the last part of this paper, the detailed presentation is stated based on my teaching practice in Inner Mongolia University Attached Primary School. The paper contains three parts: in the first part, based on the relevant theory and practice, it introduces the process of character recognition and represents the existing problems in the education field; in the second part, based on the theory and connotation of zizu character teaching, the paper clarified the definition and reintroduced its features; with talking about the advantage of zizu character teaching in the end. in the last part, the paper introduced the teaching process of zizu character in Inner Mongolia University Attached Primary School, the experimental base, experimental approaches, results and the deep thought after the experimental.
