Quality education is called for by modern times. It is becoming an important issue that how to implement the teaching plan into quality education scientifically, to have the objects develop in a comprehensive way and to achieve the training goals.The goal of normal university's football course is to ensure that students have basic football skills, the theoretical knowledge and the scientific football teaching methods, so as to lay a solid foundation for them in the grass-roots level football teaching after their graduation and to achieve the high teaching quality. With the current enrollments in colleges and universities continuing to expand, the numbers in the single-instruction class increase obviously, that led to the significant reduction of the practical teaching. The fact that the majority students of the Sports Institute have not learned about the football in primary and secondary schools increases the difficulty of the university football teaching. Under the condition of the objective difficulties, traditional mode for teaching sports skills exposed various disadvantages, such as, the monotonous pattern, the lack of interesting, and too much consideration for the detailed action skills. All those above mentioned factors had a negative impact on students' enthusiasm and the time for the practice repeating, caused a situation that the students can learn a little bit about the skill but can not master it. There also exists another phenomenon, because of the ignorance of the actual level of the hierarchy, the knowledge taught in the class for some students is simple but for others difficult. So it is not easy to complete the teaching task successfully. Based upon these problem existed in the football teaching, the author introduced the stratified teaching mode into the normal universities' football teaching.Starting with the students actual ability, the author employs the stratified teaching mode to make teaching plan, design curriculum content, control the progress of teaching, transform teaching mode ,established evaluation system differentially, so that every student can get the best development in the most suitable environment. Its goal is to optimize the teaching and to provide the students with the best learning environment that suit to their own characteristics. Stratified teaching model is helpful in teaching the students according to their own characteristics, to cultivate the students in getting better personalities and to improve their learning initiation. It is also an important way in carrying out of the quality education.This thesis employed the methods of literature review, mathematical statistics, expert consultation and experimental research method. In the experiment, the author first determines the lemma for the stratified teaching model, that is, the involvement the subjects, the stratified coaching, the timely feedback and overall improvement. According to the different levels of the students, the author employed different teaching methods. According to the different teaching objects, the author made teaching goal correspondently, arranged the teaching contents reasonably so as to suit to different features and needs of the students in different levels and to teach them differentially. After the experiment, the statistical analysis to technical and theoretical result of the experimental group and controlled group showed that the results of the experimental group were better than the controlled group's. There was a significant difference between the two. The experiment achieved the desired results. Analysis shows that stratified teaching model is a better method in teaching the students differentially and make all the students to develop in a full scale, thus increase the overall level of the class and ensure the realization of football teaching goals in normal university's required courses.
