With the constant development of economics and society, the public life field is expanded gradually, and it becomes the important component of social member's life day by day. The social morality, as the code of conduct that should be observed in social public life, lies in the basic level of the whole social ethical system. Higher vocational institutes act as important position and radiant source to build socialist spiritual enlightenment. Higher vocational students are part of the young colony with higher cultural quality as a whole in the society. And the society has higher expectation and requirement to education of higher vocational students' social morality and its training. So it is higher vocational students'responsibility to propagate and safeguard the social morality. Therefore, researching higher vocational students'social morality education state and launching higher vocational students'social morality education, have already become the important topic in order to strengthen higher vocational students'ideological and political education, and improve education quality of Higher Vocational Institutes.In terms of characteristics and importance of social morality education in higher vocational institutes, this passage thoroughly dissects current situation of higher vocational students'social morality education, and seeks the route to higher vocational students' social morality education. The full passage is divided into four parts:Part one: Foreword. Through teaching practice of morality training and legal basic courses for many years, I find there exist many problems in social morality state of higher vocational students which is worrying and strongly contrasts with the morality education which higher professional institutes launch at present. This stimulates the author's sense of duty, and makes me consider the social morality education of higher vocational students in omni-directional way, which is research background of this paper. It makes an analysis of the current situation of higher vocational students'social morality education theory has on the basis of learning and drawing lessons from achievements and viewpoints of such theories as morality, psychology, pedagogy, and conducts a research on relevant contents of higher vocational students'social morality combing many methods.Part two: The meaning and characteristics of higher vocational students'social morality education. The key content of higher vocational students'social morality education is to improve the social morality consciousness, and to form behavioral habits of the social morality. It has its own special meaning and characteristics with unique education requirements, contents and methods, which serves vigorous higher vocational students. It is mainly organized by higher vocational institutes, as well as social education, family education and self-education of higher vocational students, and normal social morality education must be carried on together with strengthening behavior management; disciplining by others combining with that by oneself reaches disciplining by oneself finally. Therefore, study on higher vocational students'social morality education is very important. It is the important component of citizen's ethical construction, the important method to build harmonious campus and critical condition of development of higher vocational students and entry to society.Part three: analysis of higher vocational students'social morality current education situation. Though many universities carry on various social morality educational activities among higher vocational students, the result is not optimistic. Higher vocational students present some disappointing and even worrying phenomena in social public life. The article discusses the problems existing in higher vocational students'social morality in terms of five aspects: impolite manners, lack of sense of helping others, decline of public property consciousness, being poor in consciousness of environmental protection and vague ideas of law and discipline. Then it analyses completely the reasons of these problems which lies in that school education is imperfect, good environments of social education haven't formed yet, home education is misplaced and higher vocational students are poor in self-education, especially the fact that universities don't attach enough importance to higher vocational students'social morality education which results in many problems such as the incomprehensive educational contents and too simple methods and lack of effective management of higher vocational students'behaviors, forms the main reason of influencing higher vocational students'social morality education efficiency.Part four: The route to realize higher vocational students'social morality education. This part is a focal point of this paper. From problems existing in higher vocational students'social morality education, improvement of the efficiency of higher vocational students'social morality education needs the external guide of schools,societies and home education, what's more, the internal improvement of the higher vocational students'self-education ability. Because higher vocational students mainly live in the school, school education becomes the most important part. This article makes a research of routes to higher vocational students'social morality education and put forward the author's viewpoints in terms of six aspects: scientific demonstration of basic contents of social morality education, fulfillment of political teachers'roles, innovation of educational means in social morality education, optimization of campus environments, combination between school education and social education and home education, and self-education ability enhancement of higher vocational students for making them the main body of social morality education.
