Since the 20th century 60's,along with the great influence of the ecology crisis on people's life ,they have begun to pay attention to the environment they live in. At the same time, educationists have drawn their attention to the contribution that the ecology education has made to the alleviation of the ecology crisis. Thus ecology education movement has been blustery. Under the impetus of the ecology education movement, simultaneously along with ecology's rising to popularity,educationists apply the ecological theory to the pedagogy and start to pay attention to the development of ecology education its own. From then the ecology and the pedagogy marries and the education ecology is formed. Education ecology's rising and development brings a new field of vision for the education domain. Then it comes the contemplation,the ponder,and the explanation in the solution of the questions brought about in the development of education in the ecological view,and develops the education theory and practice by the ecological way. Through the study of the connection between ecology and education,this article opens a new mentality for the research of the design of middle school Chemistry education,and causes the transformation of the view from traditional education to the ecology education. With the development and the deep-going of the reform in curriculum, an Ecological Epoch is certain to come in education domain.First this paper systematically elaborates the reflection of the problems existing in the design of the traditional education and the process of chemistry teaching. It also proves that the ecology education is the only way education goes throughout the world. Then it elaborates the historical evolution of ecology education,and discusses the connotation of education ecology. After that it analyses the ecological view on the reform of the new curriculum in China, and has a further discussion on the historical evolution and the connotation of the design of teaching, especially of chemistry teaching. The following is the most important part of this paper, which analyses the theory of the ecological view on the design of teaching and examines closely the design of teaching on the ecological view (including Systematical View, Process View, Situational View, Discrepancy View, Equality View, Interactive View, Harmony View, and Opening View.) It also points out the sustainability of the ecological design of teaching, and establishes the important role of teachers in the process. Finally, this paper analyses the ecological design of chemistry teaching in middle school from the aspects of teaching aims, teaching contents, teaching methods, and teaching evaluation, and puts forward some feasible solutions and countermeasures for the settlement of the problems in teaching. Finally, the author concludes the principles of the design for the middle school chemistry teaching, excepting to realize the construction of the ecological design of the middle school chemistry teaching.In brief,the author attempts to direct the construction of the ecological design of teaching by the ecology view, aiming at the achievement of the construction of the ecological design of teaching and the realization of the ecological way of middle school chemistry teaching in a positive way. If this paper can make any contribution to the development of the middle school chemistry teaching, the author would be gratified.
