The leaders'checking and evaluation system is the key system in the management of university's superior administrative officers. It is established to check and evaluate the officers'performance in their position, and gain an objective, fair, exact and reasonable conclusion in term of the right stipulated in the relative law and regulations, following certain procedure and standard.This paper first gives a brief introduction about the successful experiences and practices in the developed countries, such as, U.S.A, U.K etc. and then compares this with the actuality and existing problems of the domestic university's superior administrative officers'evaluation system. In addition, this research has taken questionnaire investigation to senior executives of some universities, and statistical analysis of the feedback results help us a lot to find out a set of feasible performances evaluation index, finally, we use the Analytical Hierarchy Process(AHP) to work out the corresponding weight for each index.This research also can help the government know the current situation of the performance evaluation for university's senior executive well, and we believe that it's good for them to train, choose and appoint university's senior executive.
