Investigation And Analysis On The Influential Factors Of The White-collar's Bearing And Rearing Desire

As a special group, the white-collar have high level of education and are well-paid. As the social economy increasingly develops, their influence strengthens. Their bearing and rearing desire is apt to cause public attention and becomes a kind of tendency.This paper sets out from the angle of sociology and tries to describe and analyze their (1) bearing motives , (2)ideal sum of children , (3)favourite sex of their children, (4) ideal bearing age ,etc. and describe the actuality and its influential factors of the white-collar's bearing and rearing desire based on Maslow's theory of hierarchy of needs and the Rational Choice Theory.This paper discovers that the motives of the white-collar's bearing and rearing are satisfying their parentage demand, strengthening their spouse relationship and fulfilling their obligation to the society respectively, as for their ideal children sum, it is one son and one daughter, however they have no specified tendency to their children's sex. Both the male and female white-collar regard 25-30 years old as their ideal bearing ages. They value better children bearing and rearing. With further analysis to the data we find that the bearing and rearing desire is interrelated with the education degree of White-collar group, their manner of working and living ,and social mobility, etc. It has great importance to catch the direction of the bearing and rearing desire of the middle--class for the construction of modern bearing and rearing conception, the elevation of the quality of our whole nation as well as the establishment of a harmonious society.
