Along with the continuous deepening of economic reform, the mode of economic growth began to transition, Old labor-intensive industries have begun to gradually achieve upgrading of the quality of the laborers are becoming more demanding. On the one hand, the quality of the workforce does not meet the technical requirements, a large number of labors can not find work because of the lack of technology available, on the other hand, due to the impact of education policy, and new entrants to the labor market of university students are academic works talent. However, what the market of needed is a real operating capacity technical skills talent. Labor supply and demand have serious mismatches, a labor shortage enterprises "shortage." Then we should develop vocational technical education, especially to provide high-quality, skill talent higher vocational education.This paper mainly includes five parts. The first part is the introduction article, focused on the background of this subject the selection of subjects and writing significance. On the second part of the "workers shortage" have reason discussion raises the main problems of our labor-market, "mechanic shortage," which raises the main question -- on our advanced vocational technical education. Part five is the final part of our development on the current reality of higher vocational education social significance, and from the macro and micro perspectives to the development of vocational education.
