"Education is education to soul of man, not accumulation of intellectual knowledge and cognition", said Jaspers. In this sense, the nature of education, which tallies exactly with the nature of Chinese subject, is its humane quality. The core humane education is sentiment education. What is sentiment education? It is the indispensable component of school education. It cares attitude, emotion, sentimental experience, and cultivating belief of students in secondary schools in the process of education. Sentiment education promotes harmonious development of students' body and mind as well as healthy development of the society. Nevertheless, under the influence of long-term traditional education and education for examinations, teachers focus more on cognitive education. As a result, sentiment education is ignored, which hinders the development of students' body and mind.In light of problems mentioned above, the thesis takes Zhangye Athletic School as an example, illustrates in four aspects the necessity of carrying out research on "Practical Study of Strategies for Sentiment Education in Chinese Teaching". The four aspects are: sentiment education and quality education can be traced to the same origin; sentiment education helps improve Chinese accomplishment of students; sentiment education helps promote harmonious development of students' personality; sentiment education helps cultivate students' good habit of lifelong study.Next, on the basis of related theory study on sentiment education home and abroad, the author probes into "Strategies for Sentiment Education of Chinese Teaching in Athletic Schools" from two aspects: the current Chinese teaching in Athletic Schools and an analysis of the reason; practical study of strategies for Chinese sentiment education in Athletic Schools (including six strategies: affectionate education—a premise of sentiment education; stimulating interest—five minutes for creating situation before class; cultivating ability and molding temperament of students—blending sentiment with sense in the product of Chinese classroom; cultivating habit—immersion of sentiment education; reading after class—extension of sentiment education.Finally, in order to quicken the steps of carrying out strategies for sentiment education of Chinese teaching in Athletic Schools, the thesis also stresses that teachers who teach Chinese in Athletic Schools should have a deep understanding of the meaning and value of sentiment education, change their sense of teaching, enhance sentimental accomplishment of their own, attach importance to the development of concealed courses, set up correct and reasonable evaluation system of sentiment education, for the purpose of bringing about all-round and harmonious development of students in Athletic Schools.
