In order to guarantee the proper process and efficient implementation of New Curriculum Reform, the teachers who teach ideaology and politics in middle schools must get ready for the transformation of their role, with the deepening of New Curriculum Reform. Howard Gardner's theory of intelligent polymorphism gives us a new point of view in reseach work. The theory of intelligent polymorphism offers the best theoretical interpretation to the new curriculum standard for ideaology and politics course, and provides a guide to the transformation of teachers' role under the influence of New Curriculum ReformBased on the principle of intelligent polymorphism, this paper provides theoretical basis and feasible suggestions for teachers who teach ideaology and politics to transfer their role in the new situation.First, this paper analyzes the traditional role of the teacher who teaches ideaology and politics and it's limitations.Second, through the study of new curriculum standard for ideaology and politics course and the theory of intelligent polymorphism, it provides theoretical basis for the new role of teachers who teach ideaology and politics and for their new role transformation in classroom teaching. Third, based on the theory of intelligent polymorphism and new curriculum standard, it discusses what role the teachers act and how they can play a new role in the new era. Also, it puts forward feasible suggestions for how they create new image for the teachers in middle schools in the 21st century.
